🇧🇷 Dra. Marôla Flores da Cunha Scheeren é pediatra e neonatologista atuante em Porto Alegre, sul do Brasil.
Professora de Pediatria na Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (UFCSPA). Atualmente está como regente do internato médico do curso de medicina. Participa de linhas de pesquisa de atenção ao cuidado prematuro, evolvendo assistência ventilatória e nutrição. Também atua como intensivista neonatal no Hospital de Moinhos Vento, onde é preceptora da residência de pediatria e do fellow de neonatologia.
Ela nasceu na fronteira oeste do Brasil, mas vive há mais de 20 anos em Porto Alegre, RS. Graduada em Medicina pela Universidade Luterana do Brasil, fez sua residência em pediatria, neonatologia, mestrado e doutorado em pediatria e saúde da criança na Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
Quando não está envolvida em suas atividades hospitalares ou acadêmicas, ela aprecia viajar para aprender coisas novas.
My Story
🇬🇧 Dr. Marôla Flores da Cunha Scheeren is a pediatrician and neonatologist working in Porto Alegre, Southern Brazil. Dr. Marôla is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA). She currently serves as the coordinator of the medical internship program for the Med School and is actively involved in research focusing on premature care, including ventilatory assistance and nutrition.
Additionally, she works as a neonatal consultant at the Hospital de Moinhos Vento, where she is also the preceptor for pediatric residency and neonatology fellows. Although she was born on the western border of Brazil, Alegrete, she has resided in Porto Alegre now for over 20 years. Dr. Marôla graduated in Medicine from the Lutheran University of Brazil and completed her residency in pediatrics and neonatology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. She also obtained her Master's degree and PhD in pediatrics and child health from the same institution.
When she's not immersed in her hospital or academic responsibilities, she enjoys traveling to expand her knowledge and learn about other cultures and experiences.
